Travel from Dakar or Mbour for a full-day excursion to Fathala Wildlife Reserve in Senegal and enjoy a memorable experience in a protected natural setting. This package combines round-trip air-conditioned transportation, a supervised walk with lions, lunch and assistance from a local team.

Departure is organized from a confirmed meeting point in Dakar or Mbour. The exact time is communicated before the excursion according to the selected departure location, the reserve’s programme and the time allocated to the activity. Transportation is provided in an air-conditioned vehicle suited to the number of participants.

On arrival, the team assists you with the required formalities and preparation for the activity. The walk with lions is the main experience included in this excursion and takes place exclusively under the supervision of authorized guides and handlers from Fathala Wildlife Reserve.

During the guided encounter, participants accompany the lions on foot in a controlled setting while learning about their behaviour. The activity generally lasts approximately 40 to 45 minutes, although its duration may be adjusted by the reserve according to organization, weather, animal behaviour and safety requirements.

Participants must be at least 1.50 metres tall, with no exceptions. All instructions given before and during the activity must be followed. Bags, purses, backpacks, sunglasses and animal-print clothing are not permitted during the walk. Loose clothing should be avoided and shoelaces must be securely tied.

Running, jumping, kneeling or bending in front of the lions is prohibited. Participants must never touch or approach the lions without instructions from the guides. Everyone must remain calm and sign the form required by the reserve before joining the activity.

Personal photo opportunities may be available according to the instructions of the supervising team and the conditions of the day. A professional photographer, souvenir video or private photo session is not automatically included.

Lunch is included in the package. The menu, meal location and any included drinks are confirmed before departure. After the activity and lunch, organized transportation returns participants to the agreed meeting point in Dakar or Mbour.

This package focuses specifically on the walk with lions. A guided 4x4 game drive, accommodation or any other activity is not included unless clearly confirmed in the booking.
