Leave Dakar or Mbour for a full-day excursion to Fathala Wildlife Reserve and discover its natural landscapes on a professionally guided safari. This experience is designed for visitors who want to observe wildlife, explore the reserve in a suitable vehicle and enjoy an organized excursion from their selected departure area.
Departure is arranged from a confirmed meeting point in Dakar or Mbour. Round-trip travel is provided in an air-conditioned vehicle suited to the number of participants. The exact departure time is communicated before the excursion according to the meeting location, reserve schedule and traffic conditions.
On arrival at Fathala, the required admission formalities are completed before boarding the vehicle used for the safari. Accompanied by a guide, visitors travel along the authorized reserve tracks through protected forest and savannah landscapes.
Depending on the season, natural conditions and animal movement, visitors may have the opportunity to see giraffes, rhinoceroses, buffaloes, warthogs, several antelope species, monkeys and birds. Because the animals move within a natural environment, the presence or proximity of any particular species cannot be guaranteed.
The guided safari generally lasts approximately two hours. This duration is indicative and may be adjusted by the reserve according to weather, track conditions, wildlife movement and operational requirements. The guide provides information about the animals, their behaviour and the natural environment.
Photography opportunities may be available when conditions and reserve rules permit. Binoculars are recommended for observing wildlife or birds located farther away.
After the safari, organized transportation returns participants to the agreed meeting point in Dakar or Mbour. Final schedules, vehicle information and practical details are confirmed before departure.
This package includes the classic guided safari only. It does not include the walk with lions, accommodation or any additional activity that is not expressly confirmed in the booking.
